About This Market

The Athens, TX Farmers Market, held every Saturday from 9a to 1p (closing at 12 p.m. during the summer) at 110 W. Tyler St. in historic downtown Athens, is a vibrant, community-rooted marketplace showcasing the best of East Texas. Established in 2012, the market features local farmers, ranchers, bakers, and artisans who offer fresh produce, pasture-raised meats, handmade foods, and unique goods—all grown or made within the region. With a strong focus on seasonal quality and local sourcing, the market invites visitors to shop with purpose, connect with producers, and experience the charm and flavor of Athens firsthand. Established in 2012 and stewarded by local organizer DJ Warren, this local sourced market brings together more than 50 vendors offering locally grown produce, pasture-raised meats, fresh-baked goods, artisan crafts, flowers, and hand‑made foods—all sourced directly from small family farms and local artisans. It’s our commitment to our community, 14 years strong!
